Tools and resources

CADRI is the focal point for all tools, resources and knowledge products relating to capacity development for disaster risk reduction (DRR) worldwide. We map all available materials, facilitate access to them, and develop new tools and resources whenever and wherever they are needed.

What tools and resources are available?

CADRI offers a wide range of tools and resources relating to capacity development for DRR:

  • Learning packages. Our workshops and training programmes include: overviews of capacity development and DRR; how to manage and recover from disaster; how to incorporate DRR into wider development agendas; how to implement the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) and much more.
  • Capacity development methodologies. We can supply diverse capacity assessment and planning tools.
  • Information resources. Our material encompasses all aspects of capacity development.

Facilitating access

CADRI maps tools, resources and knowledge products relating to DRR at every level – global, national and regional – and makes this material available to all ISDR system members. For more information, please contact us.

Developing materials

Where certain tools, resources or knowledge products relating to DRR are not available, CADRI can develop new materials or can adapt those that exist to the specific needs of a country or region.
